No Brasil, não existem dados epidemiológicos sobre dermatoses nutricionais em cães e gatos. Estima-se, no entanto, que o emprego de dietas caseiras desbalanceadas e má qualidade de alimentos comerciais possam levar a deficiências ou excessos de nutrientes.
